The purposes for which the World Sephardi Federation was formed are:

A) To create, maintain and develop cultural and spiritual bonds between the Jewish Sephardi Communities in the World, and at the same time preserving the spiritual wealth and moral values of Judaism and the Sephardi heritage with its specific characteristics, its nuances and its pluralism.

B) To provide material and moral support to Jewish Communities every- where and to work for the unity of the Jewish people while striving for equality, justice and the respect of the traditions specific to each community, as these traditions are the essence of their vitality and originality.

C) To intensify the bonds of World Sephardi Jewry with Israel and show solidarity with Israel, to make its contribution to the rapprochement of all the Communities in a spirit of fraternity and social justice.

D) To support Jewish Communities in peril in the world, and to take necessary action to help them obtain their freedom.


E) To participate in the fight for Human Rights wherever human beings are deprived of liberty, irrespective of creed, color, religion or national origin.
