Want to join the Israeli army? Even if not, the Mahal2000 site, designed by one of the volunteers, has all the information you need. The flash presentation is a nice touch and best of all, once you have seen it, it is very easy to bypass the next time you need to visit. The Mahal2000 programs, in cooperation with the Jewish Agency, enable young Jews from all over the world to strengthen their relationship with Israel and the Jewish people by volunteering for the IDF (Israel Defense Forces). The programs aim to contribute to the defense of Israel, the Middle East's sole democracy, and to provide knowledgeable and enthusiastic young leaders for Jewish communities.

The news begins "In the town of... on the West Bank...". Most of us have been confused at one time or another as to where the specific town lies. Israeliwestbank.com is a basic, no-frills site. Its name denotes a geographic definition and is not directly concerned with any current political stance. The site provides brief biblical backgrounds and pictures, with some of the site linking to museums for further information.

There are dictionaries, and then there are dictionaries. Ravmilim.co.il is probably one of the quickest and best of its kind. At first glance it looks as if it hasn't finished uploading since only a top strip appears. It is simple to use. Simply enter the word in English and receive it in Hebrew with punctuation as well, or vice versa - enter a Hebrew word and receive an English translation. I even succeeded in copying the Hebrew with the nikud into a word document.
