Yes, Purim is coming around and the web has more stuff each year. ZigzagWorld is an innovative site with lots of educational ideas. This year we found a cute design your own mask and crown site Mask & CrownTM. Although it doesn't have 15 funky colors and designs, it's cute. The only problem was not finding anyway to print it. The people at the site told me the best way is with using the print screen button. The site has other games, some of which are quite nice. One feature, which I highly recommend, is their Hebrew keyboard tutor. If you are like me and have trouble typing in Hebrew try the Hebrew Keyboard Tutor.

Steven Spielberg has a new hit. No, I am not referring to a new movie, but rather some very old ones. The Steven Spielberg Jewish Film Archive at Hebrew University has put its database archive on line. In addition, they have put a number of films for anyone to see. Their virtual cinema is very well thought out. Naturally, those of you who have fast internet will benefit the most from it. The rest of us need a bit of patience.

Al Israel Information Center is an information/hasbara site for Israel that was started by a group of concerned citizens to combat the 100's of anti-Israel sites on the internet. Included in the site is an outstanding presentation of the events of June 7th 1981 - Israel's bombing of the Iraqi "Tammuz 1" nuclear reactor. This presentation is dedicated to the memory of Col. Ilan Ramon z"l, the Israeli pilot who helped destroy the Iraqi nuclear reactor and was Israel's first astronaut to orbit the earth.

Zoo Torah is an educational enterprise that synthesizes these two concepts. It uses Torah as an aid for wildlife education, and it uses wildlife as an aid for Torah education. Zoo Torah offers a virtual zoo tour on line as well as an essay series on crocodiles, donkeys, and more. You can also receive these essays via email. It takes a few minutes to load but very worthwhile.
