Normally, most of us are either attracted or pushed away by the
name of a URL When it came to crisisJerusalem.com, I have to
admit that with hearing enough bad news, I was reluctant to view this site.
Actually having gone into it, I am pleased I did so. The site, which does not have
extensive graphics and has a definite religious outlook, is dedicated
to one goal. Doing good deeds for the "sake of Israel and Jerusalem".
None of us, no matter our politics or religious affiliation, can find any fault in
this. My only complaint would be the lack of background material,
especially on the power of Tikun Olam and Chessed (good deeds). In spite of
this, it is worth the trip. I especially enjoyed the "share it" page.

While I normally only review sites in English, this French site
Le Site Portail Des Feujs deserves mention. For those of you that
remember a bit of your high school French, this is a go. Using bright
colors and easy graphics, they have succeeded in compiling a one stop site.
Their Israel page has a forum which people actually use.
http://www.jewish.co.uk/
As long as I am on the continent, have a look at
jewish.co.uk. Like many of the local Jewish sites,
it has everything you need about Kosher food, synagogue services, ask
the Rabbi with an added news feature. If you are planning a trip to England
or just want to see what happnin' have a look - there's a lot to see.
http://www.bh.org.il/
Almost every tour-group or individual who comes on a visit to Israel
visits the Diaspora Museum. Today, you don't have to cross any ocean
to visit! See this site for info on Jewish communities, genealogy,
family names, and much more.

Something to add to your list of: Things to Do when the Kids
are Home for Chanukah Vacation. Torah Tots.com is visually palatable for youngsters (parents - get your sunglasses) and a fun site for them to
explore... online games and puzzles, spin the dreidel, coloring pages,
and sending greeting cards.
