Unfortunately, during this past year we have all been witnesses to a drastic drop in tourism in this country. In the meantime, while we are waiting for you to come, you can find a virtual tour at Holyland Model Virtual Tour. Its parent site, inisrael.com, is a commercial site which also has a very nicely done 3D gallery, 3DIsrael, as well as free maps of the major cities.

The Simon Wiesenthal Center is pretty much a household name in the Jewish world. Their web site reflects their commitment to remembrance, tolerance and education. Based on a magazine layout, they change their stories on their home page while offering information on restitution and history. Their site on education deserves an award in itself with an excellent collection of virtual tours and teaching aids!

Interested in promoting your organization or finding about events in your area? For the first time in history, because of the Internet, organizations can reach such an enormous audience, in so timely a manner. The first stop in your search should be the Jewish Network which offers a comprehensive list of events worldwide for Jewish singles, couples, families and kids.

A new website was launched on Tuesday September 11, 2001 as a means of providing news, support and information in response to the tragic events of the day. JewzNewz.com - the online center for crisis updates, sense making and comfort, is a must for families and educators. Share your reactions and personal stories. Questions on "How can we talk about the attacks with our kids?" and "How can we process these events ourselves?" are tackled by means of commentaries, advise, and meaningful reflections.

After sitting through all those holidays with a siddur (prayer book) in your hand, it may have occurred to you that knowledge of Hebrew could be beneficial. The question as to where one could find the information on the web probably popped up. Our recommendation is to try Neal Walter's HebrewResources.com. This site, while also featuring Walter's course (not free), does have some excellent links to other sites and materials - some for pay and some for free. A good first step to look for what is available.
