There are quite a few Israel support sites on the net. One worth looking into is called just that, Israel Support Group. Easy to use, it is updated with a good history background section and video section. I did have a few problems with a button or two which didn’t work well but it was minor. While I understand that the site is commercial, I have to admit that I was bothered by the promotional banner which appeared on each page from the site's designer. Still, all in all, definitely a site to visit.
For those who want to pursue their academic studies in Israel, here is a worthwhile resource. The Academic Web of Israel has links to all the major universities and colleges in Israel and most of the sites are presented in English.

If you are interested in travel to off the beaten path places, check out this site. They also have a strong focus on the modern and biblical history of Israel.
Don't throw in the towel just yet. Look for your basherte on line. Mit Mazel is Chabad's new matchmaking site for Jewish singles of all affiliations who are interested in marriage. They use state of the art technology to do traditional Jewish matchmaking. Mit Mazel is unique because the initial contact between singles is arranged through their sponsors. Ellie's Torah Trope Tutor, a great site for supplementing or enhancing one's learning to chant Torah. The project includes six sites of tropes for the holidays and the haftorah.
