Your gateway to the wealth of information from the Jewish Agency

As you all realize, I do not usually review Hebrew sites since many of you cannot see the Hebrew fonts. The Mishkei site happens to be excellent for anything dealing with the various Kibbutz Movements. The reason why we are including this one, is for its very useful page in English.

Each month, I get a dozen or so companies asking me to look at their web sites. For the most part, we do not review commercial sites. One site did catch my interest and that is because of a charity project which is similar to Ben and Jerry's. Although, the Judaicaworldwide site is graphically pleasing and is very easy to navigate, it was their Tzedakah page that convinced me to consider it; if I'm buying something Jewish and if I'm buying it on the web and the price is right etc., why not do something good at the same time. If nothing else, this site gets kudos with the idea.

Youth organizations are all over the net, but few of them have done as well as World Bnei Akiva in their well designed site. Instead of the usual pictures of past machanot (and they had these), they built a beautiful, easy to use, hadracha database which can be useful for most youth organizations. My only complaint is it could be more extensive. I am hoping that expanding this section is high on the list for the people who run the site. Chen chen.

Does your stomach get queasy when you watch CNN or the BBC. The Camera Media Report is a site which gives you the news information as it really is. What the site might lack in fancy graphics it makes up for in information. I especially enjoyed going into their Israel and press section to see the difference in reality and the way events were portrayed. Your stomach may still feel queasy reading or watching the news, but at least you will be well informed.
