It's getting cold out there again and it's time
to visit a few museums. The Jewish American Hall of Fame is unusual in that it is not only
an exhibition. Although there are sites with more depth and
information on American Jewry, this one is fun and tries to activate
people by offering a quiz and nomination to the Jewish American
Hall
of Fame.

Considering what this past month has been like how can we not
visit Welcome to FloridaJewish.com which bills itself as " A resource
and
guide for everything Jewish in Florida". For those of you thinking of
spending part of the winter down south, you have to try their data
base on communities. It is really excellent.

I must have looked at 15 Chanukah sites for kids until I found one
that really worked. The Hanukkah Billy Bear's Playground site has a variety of things to do.
It's clear that the designers put a lot of thought into their site.

Those interested in personal accounts of happenings in Israel, take a look at
Eyewitness Israel. A site written by the users who visit it.
This site is dedicated to getting the news and background first-hand from those
living the events in Israel.

Here's a non-threatening site for learning Hebrew.
Hebrew for ME, a project of ZigZag, Inc., provides a unique
resource for Hebrew language reinforcement and interactive on-line
Jewish learning. The Hebrew for ME Java applet allows the visitor to create a
picture using a "palette" of Hebrew words.
An example is the Hanukkah House, a demonstration project integrating
computers and Jewish learning in a play-like setting. The Hanukkah House
reinforces Hebrew vocabulary through the creation of a Hanukkah scene.
