Normally, I don't go for mega sites, but sometimes they are just too good to
pass by. One of them is Judaism and Medicine on the Web. The beauty
of the site is that it has everything from excellent articles on medical
ethics to resources like the gift of life foundation. As my grandmother
would say, "phew phew, may you never need it".

Do you have someone off in college or are you yourself going off to study?
The Hillel Organization seems to have been around forever. I was especially
interested in resources which could be used to bring a bit more of "Jewish
life" to campus. The Program Exchange was a good resource and should
definitely be expanded. Their Guide to Jewish Life on Campus/Campus
Contacts for the 500 Hillel's world wide was quick and provided me with
all the information I would need on the individual Hillel.

The History of the Shtetel has fascinated many and will continue to so as
long as there are people interested in understanding their cultural
background. The above site should serve as a model for others who wish to
build memorial sites. A lot of work must have gone into gathering all of the
stories and pictures. You may never have heard of Kurenets before
this, but what is for certain, once you visit you won't forget it.

As long we are discussing heritage, there is another must see site.
Heritage Films covers both general and Jewish History. The site is
still under construction and so there are not a lot of pictures, but the
potential is there. I would also put in detailed "old" maps so that we can
find towns and cities which either changed names or are no longer in
existence.

Judaism 101 deserves all the awards it receives. It is laid out well,
easy on the eye, and if you are looking for information - they have it.
Terms are well linked and easily navigated. The site is basically a textual
site with no pictures per se - but if you are looking for information on
Judaism, this is as good a place as any to start. If I have any constructive
criticism, it would be to put links to outside sources as well within each
category.
