In the Presence of Prime Minister Sharon and Jewish Agency Chairman Sallai Meridor 39
Patrol Cars and State-of-the-Art Communications Equipment Will Be Given to the Civil Guard - a Gift of the United Jewish Communities of North America
Ceremony: Thursday, 12 December at 12:00 Noon, in the Jewish Agency's
Kiryat Moriah Educational Campus. Entry to Press upon presentation of GPO
Card, until 11:00.
In a ceremony to be held under the aegis of Prime Minister Ariel
Sharon, Jewish Agency Chairman Sallai Meridor and Israel Police
Commissioner, Shlomo Aharonishki, 39 patrol cars and 400
state-of-the-art communications sets will be given over to the Civil
Guard. This equipment is a gift of the United Jewish Communities of
North America (UJC).
400 donors from North American Jewish Communities will participate in the
ceremony, which will be held at the Jewish Agency's Kiryat Moriah
Educational Campus, 3 HaAskan St. Jerusalem. Press will be admitted until
of 11:00 AM upon presentation of GPO Press cards.
In the course of the ceremony Jewish Agency Chairman Sallai Meridor
and a representative of the United Jewish Communities of North
America, will present the Civil Guard with 39 patrol cars and the
advanced communications equipment, which were collected in the context of
the Israel Emergency Campaign, run by the Jewish Agency and the United
Jewish Communities.
