Dear Friends,

Jewish Agency Chairman Sallai Meridor and Treasurer Chaim Chesler addressed a rally of Solidarity with the American people last night (Septemebr 15,2001), which took place in Rabin Square in Tel Aviv.

Under the slogan

YOU’VE GOT A FRIEND

some 35,000 people came to demonstrate their solidarity with our American friends. At the rally, which was sponsored by the Jewish Agency and the Tel Aviv - Jaffa Municipality, Israeli leaders and US Ambassador to Israel, Dan Kurtzer joined leading performers in prayer, song and candle lighting.

The rally was sponsored by the Jewish Agency and the Tel Aviv - Jaffa Municipality.
