You won't
believe it until you try it. If you are planning on making aliyah or coming to stay in
Israel for an extended period of time, there is no better information resource than this
list. (Warning - be prepared for A LOT of daily emails! There is always the option of the
daily digest.) The list can be officially defined as a forum for ongoing, informal

wide-ranging and includes tips on which appliances to buy, how to overcome culture shock,
where to live, which ulpan to attend, how to deal with family left behind, etc... JEWISH AGENCY ALIYAH FORUM:
In order to dispense real-time information on Aliyah geared to the specific interests of Jews throughout the world, the Jewish Agency instituted an Internet Aliyah forum. The forum is open to those who wish to discuss practical and ideological matters concerned with Aliyah and get accurate updated information. The site operates in the English language and will be expanded to include additional languages, e.g. French, Spanish and Russian. To find out more, click here: Jewish Agency Aliyah Forum
A PASSING PHRASE:
If you answered "yes" to any of these, then our new list, A PASSING PHRASE is for you. A Passing Phrase is all about enhancing your current knowledge of spoken Hebrew in a fun and informal way. It is a dissemination list over which every few days, a useful Hebrew phrase or word will be explained in its spoken context. Using the least common denominator of simple-text email, the phrases/words will be transliterated (spelled phonetically in English).
