The Jewish communities of the world have stood with Israel through six wars and countless terror attacks. Standing at the forefront of the successful struggle to release Jews held behind the Iron Curtain, during the subsequent decade, Jewish communities then helped Israel resettle over one million new immigrants. They have developed dramatic partnerships that have transformed both Israel and themselves.

Today, at a time of great need and trauma, supporters of Israel have an urgent critical role to play in this conflict.
The best response to this ongoing violence is to show Palestinians that violence will not deter Jews from living in the land of Israel. When Israelis feel isolated, morale is reduced, whereas demonstration of support from the outside world increases resilience, and therefore strengthens the State of Israel.

The situation in Israel has taken a tremendous emotional and financial toll on the people of Israel. The prolonged conflict has heightened the need for social services for victims and their families.

Now, more than ever, Jewish Communities need to make a statement about Israel and their commitment by continuing to build Israel's infrastructure. The need is to respond to what the facts are today - knowing that an additional response may be needed later. Right now, Israelis (and the world) must see that they are not alone.
