From Israel to Kosovo to Israel

The photos below of the Jewish Agency for Israel Aid to Tirana Albania for Kosovo refugees were taken between April 8, 1999 - April 18, 1999. The pictures below, include photos of Chaim Chessler, co-chairman Jewish Agency Aliyah committee, Yehuda Milo, Israeli ambassador to Italy and Albania, (third photo) who led the second plane with aid to Albania chartered by Jewish Agency April 18, 1999, and former Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, his wife Sarah (fourth photo). Also included in the photos (eighth photo) are Davor Bakovic (center) of Neve Ilan in Israel with Lamia (right) and Vlasnim Yaha (left) refugees from Kosovo.  Lamia's mother and father, Dervish and Servet Kurkuk, were  recognized by Yad Veshem as Righteous gentiles had saved Davor's mother in Kosovo during the Holocaust by hiding them from the Nazis.
