Agency Executive ponders the meaning of Zionism today and
the role of the Diaspora Jewish community in formulating a
Zionist vision for Israel’s future.
In this article that appeared in ‘Ha’Aretz”,
Israel’s very existence as a Jewish, rather than bi-national,
state is questioned. Israel’s actions influence how Jews
are perceived, the article asserts. Notwithstanding the hypocrisy
of many anti-Israel positions, and the anti-Semitism of some the
proponents, Israel must answer to history and the demands of Jewish
ethics.
