Israel and the Place of Modern Hebrew in Jewish Education Worldwide: A Consultation about the Possibilities for Hebrew Language Instruction

We are pleased to invite you to a research seminar on the topic of “Israel and the Place of Modern Hebrew in Jewish Education Worldwide: A Consultation about the Possibilities for Hebrew Language Instruction.” At the request of the Unit for Research and Development of the Department of Jewish-Zionist Education, Rabbi Peretz Rodman conducted interviews with 30 experts on Hebrew language instruction in 9 different countries.

The seminar is taking place in the framework of the monthly research seminar sponsored by the Department of Jewish-Zionist Education. The meeting will take place at Kiryat Moriah, East Talpiot, Jerusalem on Wednesday January 22nd 2003, from 16:30 to 18:30 in the Director-General's meeting room.

Respondents include: Dr. Michael Yudevetsky, Department of Education, Jewish Agency and Mr. Rafi Banai, Department of Education, Jewish Agency. Moderator:
Prof. Steven M. Cohen, Department of Education, The Hebrew University.

The research report in English will be mailed to you separately. A Hebrew version of the report will be available from January 19th. At that time both English and Hebrew versions of the report can be downloaded from the following website:
