Samson and Dalila

This victory would have gained him the leadership of the Hebrew tribes for twenty years. But his desire for Philistine women would cause him to loose it. The Philistines entrust a certain Dalila to penetrate the secret of his supernatural strength. He becomes so enamored with her that he fails to become aware of her stratagem:

He told her all that was in his heart, saying: “There has never been a razor upon my head for I have been a nazir to God from my mother’s womb. If my head is shaved, I will loose all my strength and will become as weak as any other man. “
