Contemporary Terror & Victims

Who by fire, who by sword, who by beast
Nadav Shragai, Haaretz Daily

http://www.haaretzdaily.com/hasen/pages/ShArt.jhtml?itemNo=208668

Thoughtful and meaningful pause before the solemn prayers of Yom Kippur to analyze just what it means for the Israeli public to have experienced over 14,000 terror incidents, with casualties primarily among the civilian population: 619 killed by snipers, machine gun mad infiltrators, booby traps, car bombs, homicide bombers, knifings, lynches, with almost 5,000 people injured.

An Engineered Tragedy,

A feature by feature analysis of the nature of the violence and the disturbingly disproportionate ratio of female, child and juvenile deaths among Israelis in the current Intifada, explainable by the deliberate targeting of Israel's non-combatant, "soft belly" of the population by Palestinian terrorists. Graphs and Fig 2.9; 2.25-26.
Palestinian deaths are, by contrast, primarily among combatants and males, also some children over age 11 encouraged into the arena of conflict. Graphs and Fig 2.8; 2.28.

Israeli victims don't count at State

Column One, Jerusalem Post, Sunday 26th May 2002

Thorough and well-referenced analysis of the State Department's annual report on Terrorism for 2001, with regard to the unique standards applied to mentions of terrorism in Israel and terror organizations in the PA. It's a whitewash and does little to address the terror threats of today. It shows the lack of coordination between what President Bush is saying and what State is willing to publish.

Only 56 of the 191 terror attacks in 2001 are listed as having occured, primarily where foreign nationals were involved - a criterion not applied for incidents in other countries, such as India. MK Minister Zeevi's assassination is not featured.
Karine A arms were only "apparently bound for militants" in the West Bank and Gaza, despite the Captain's known position in the PA and other proof; it ignores the documented official budget of the Al Aksa martyrs brigade and lists the sources of finance as unknown; it downplays the Tanzim, which has a documented budget of $200,000 a month, as loosely organized local cells

They are the product of institutionally indoctrinated hatred of the West or of Jews

Sceptical and scathing review of supposed "reason and even-handedness" of media and academics in seeking justification of terrorist motivations, even after Sept. 11, rather than examine indoctrinated hatred (with examples). Israel takes the blame for legitimate self-defense, while the PA greatly intensifies terror - which augurs badly for the free world, too.

Wanton slaughter of Christians continues at Arafat's orders; US support gives him credence, while contributions maintain this regime of persecution & terror.

Call to denounce suicide bombing. Exposes it as twisted logic, a danger to free societies; its continuation is an abdication of leadership responsibility to Palestinian citizens by Arafat & the PA..

NB: Expect heavy text ratio to visuals. "According to documents found in Arafat's headquarters by the IDF, Arafat personally approved funding to various terrorists, in his own handwriting and signature."

Palestinians are testing a new form of warfare - not acting 'out of desperation"' - a 'strategic choice' to destroy. Israel 'needs to deliver' a blow; US should stand strong on terror, sympathizers and talks.

Arafat's War

The Wall Street Journal Saturday, March 30, 2002

Incitement creates & feeds menace of suicide bombers as a culture; Arafat and the PA laud affliction & prone radicalism. Arafat does not govern or build, except a war instrument to hurt and combat Israel.
