ISRAEL BREAKS TIES WITH ARAFAT President Bush this week: "I would act exactly as Sharon has" American envoy Zinni on Arafat: "In my entire career I have never encountered such unreliability" EU and UN demand that the Palestinians stop the terror The security cabinet of the Israeli government has decided to launch an all-out attack on PA infrastructure. This morning the home of Tanzim leader Marwan Barghoutti was seized and turned into an IDF outpost. Last night the control tower at the Palestinian airport at Dahanniya was destroyed, as were aerials serving the Palestinian broadcasting station. The decision to launch an extensive attack on Palestinian infrastructure and end all ties with Arafat was made following a terrorist ambush of a civilian bus last night on its way to Emmanuel in Samaria. Ten Israelis, most on their way home from Bnei Brak, were killed in the attack, including a father and his two sons. Following are the names of the dead: 48 year old Yermiahu Salam (z"l), 35 year old sergeant-major Yoel Binfeld (z"l), 13 year old Yair Amar (z"l), 44 year old Israel Strasberg (z"l), 42 year old Dov Moshe Guttman (z"l), 18 year old Nhman Nizani (z"l), three members of the Zarfati family; the father - 64 year old Ya'akov Zarfati (z"l), 32 year old son David (z"l) and 38 year old son Hanan (z"l). This week , the heart of the 11th victim of last week's Jerusalem attack failed. The victim is 17-year old Ido Cohen. Yesterday's horrendous attack was perpetrated during Arafat's "last chance" to arrest those on the wanted list and put an end to terror. Israeli defense officials stressed that the names of the terrorists involved in the attack were given to Arafat by American special envoy Anthony Zinni, with a request that they be arrested and brought to trial. Over the last few days there has been a growing number of voices against Arafat's refusal to confront terrorism. President George Bush met with senior Jewish leaders in the U.S. and lit Chanukka candles with them. At these meetings, that were attended by Jimmy Tish, Bob Goldberg and Steve Hoffman - leaders of the United Jewish Congress, AIPAC leaders Tim Williger and Howard Koor, and Conference of Presidents leaders Mort Zuckerman and Malcolm Hoenlein, the President of the U.S. expressed support and sympathy for Israel. At one of these meetings he said: "If I were in Sharon's place, I would act exactly as he does". Of Arafat, General Zinni said that throughout his entire career he has never met anyone as unreliable. The EU and the UN also issued unprecedented calls to the Palestinians to put an immediate end to the terror.
