STREET IN BNEI BRAK NAMED FOR KIDNAPPED SOLDIER BINYAMIN AVRAHAM

Jewish Agency Treasurer, Chaim Chesler: We will continue to support the families of the kidnapped soldiers

A street in the city of Bnei Brak was named this week for Staff-Sergeant Binyamin Avraham, who was kidnapped with two other Israeli soldiers, Sgt. Adi Avitan, and Staff.-Sgt. Omar Suwayed, in October 2000. Israel Defense Forces recently declared all three soldiers dead.

Speaking at the ceremony, Jewish Agency Treasurer, Chaim Chesler, promised that the Jewish Agency and the World Zionist Organization would continue to support the families in their demands that Hizballah return their sons' bodies. "We will help you have your voice heard through the Jewish communities of the world. We are with you and will not forget you," he said.

The ceremony was also attended by former government ministers Ya'akov Ne'eman and Yossi Beilin, and commander of the IDF northern command, Gabi Ashkenazy.
