ISRAEL WARMS PALESTINIANS - ADDITIONAL ATTACK WILL PROVOKE SEVERE REDRESS IDF ATTACKED HAMAS HEADQUARTERS; BORDER POLICE FIGHTER AND CIVILIANS INJURED DURING WEEK
Grave disaster was averted today in the Bet She'an area when a Palestinian suicide bomber tried to get on a bus full of young people on their way from Jerusalem to the Kinereth (Sea of Galilee) to celebrate the Tu B'av, festival of love.
Bus driver, Menashe Nuriel, became suspicious of the passenger and following scrutiny he observed that electric wires were sticking out of the man's large bag. "I grabbed the man and pushed him out of the bus. I thought to myself that I would rather die with him than with my passengers." Nuriel struggled with the terrorist until a few soldiers who were passengers on the bus, came to his aid and overcame the bomber. Eventually, the bomb was detonated by police who arrived at the scene, without causing damage to persons or property. This week, Palestinians continued their terrorist attempts. Palestinians continue to hunt down collaborators with Israel. Israel strongly warned the Palestinians that if they continue with the suicide bombings, the IDF will intensify its retaliatory response. Based on accurate intelligence information, the airforce carried out a sophisticated attack on the Hamas Headquarters in Nablus this week. During the operation Appachi helicopters shot two advanced, made in Israel, missiles, through the window of the Hamas Headquarters, located in an apartment building in Nablus. Six senior Hamas officials were killed in the attack. Two children were injured on the street from shrapnel. Israel expressed sincere regret for inadvertently injuring the innocent.
